The book I read was The Boy on the Wooden Box by Leon Leyson. This book is 215 pages long. If you like historical and holocaust books, then this is a great book to try. My favorite part is when the family moves to a more advanced city.
How would you feel if you were forced to vacate you home and put into a squalid forced labor camp. That is what 6 years of Leon’s life are. Leon and his family are living in an old town with the rest of their family. They want to have a better life so they move to a bigger city. But, the Nazis take over the city and force the family into a ghetto and then to a concentration camp. So, Oscar Schindler hires the family to come work for him where the will have better life than in the harsh camp. The factory moves and even further from the camp. Then, the family is set free but the Soviets are advancing fast and are willing kill. Will Leon and his family survive? Will they be reunited with the rest of their family, or will they die in this harsh world war? Read The Boy on the Wooden Box by Leon Leyson to find out in the touching and moving story.
